WhatsApp Broadcast: How to Send Bulk Messages Without Getting Blocked
A WhatsApp broadcast is a great way to reach lots of customers at once. But send too many messages that people didn't ask for, or don't care about, and they'll block or report you.
The fix is simple: send useful messages to people who actually want them.
1. Get permission first
Only send marketing messages to customers who've said yes to hearing from you. If someone never opted in, a few promotional messages are usually enough to earn a complaint or a block.
2. Don't send the same message to everyone
What's useful to one customer can be noise to another. Focus your audience on the basis of their interests, past purchases, location or engagement. The more relevant the message, the better the response.
3. Don't message too often
Nobody wants a promotion every single day. Give people some breathing room, and write only when you have something worth sharing.
4. Make each message worth reading
Not every broadcast has to be a hard sell. Share valuable updates, offers, reminders or information your customers really want to know. Value first, promotion second.
5. Make it easy to opt out
If someone wants to stop hearing from you, let them, and don't make it hard. A simple line like "Reply STOP to opt out" shows you respect their choice, and it keeps them from hitting the block button instead.
The golden rule of WhatsApp broadcasting
Don't ask, "How many people can I message?"
Ask, "How many people actually want to hear from me?"
When your broadcasts are permission-based, relevant, and useful, people engage more and block you less.
Send less. Send better. Build trust.
